Thanks to YOU, we exceeded our 2023 year-end fundraising goal for our new Thapsang (the kitchen, dining, and gathering space) at Jhamtse Gatsal. While we still have a long way to go, we are closer thanks to you!

With the help of our new friend Selena, the Community created a short video as a way of saying “thank you” and highlighting the meaning of Thapsang within the tribal Monpa community, which is similar to loving kitchens all over the world. It’s a gathering space where a lot more than just food is shared.
Hopefully, by the end of 2024, the children and staff will be gathered in our new Thapsang to celebrate everyday meals, holidays, and momentous milestones. We believe there will be many reasons to celebrate 2024 as Jhamtse’s growth and impact significantly increase around the world.
Thank you again for your unwavering generosity and for being with us on this Jhamtse journey to rekindle the human spirit and rebuild the human community.
